This is a special piece as I created this artwork the day I received news that my mother had died suddenly. She was only 80 years young. This video is also a celebration of the joy she brought into our lives and also of the power of creativity to transform sorrow into happiness.

You will love the light-hearted spirit of love, peace and joy I have infused into this piece… especially in the times we are living in now, it’s very important to be surrounded by objects that make us feel strong, nurtured and safe.

I love the peaceful depth and texture of this piece…and it smells divine.

The focus of my current works are reduced paintings in colour and texture. The works reflect my attitude of life and of painting ‘less and better’. In times of global overwhelm to minimise the overloading of an image with bold bright colours and put the focus on few colours and interesting surface structures
